Oneness Awakening/Deeksha Blessing

As an initiated Oneness Blessing giver, I am honored to provide at least one blessing as part of a Reiki session with permission.

You can read about my unusual initiation experience
here.

What is a Oneness Blessing?

Much like with Reiki, an Oneness Blessing, or Deeksha giver is merely a conduit for divine energy. The function of the blessing is, to over time, awaken God-consciousness within the recipient. It leads to a gradual evolution in consciousness with results in healing and specifically aids recipients in addressing any issues that impede spiritual awakening. It also activates kundalini. Kundalini is vital energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine until it is called into action to be used in seeking enlightenment.

Is it a religion?

Also like Reiki, the blessing is completely non-denominational. In fact, it helps to bring you closer to your concept(s) of the divine as you embrace the oneness in everything.

What are its origins?

In Southern India, Sri Bhagavan, a former grammar school director, and his wife, Sri Amma, are the heads of the Oneness University where the principles and technique of Deeksha are taught. Many revere both Bhagavan and Amma as avatars—incarnations of divine beings.

Do I have to get the blessing as part of a Reiki session?

Not at all. In fact, they’re completely separate practices. I’m very happy to give Deeksha out any time at no charge. It’s just easy to add a blessing or two into a Reiki session while you’re already in the healing state and frame of mind.

Do I have to do anything to prepare for a blessing? Do I have to do anything special while it’s happening?

Nope. Just like Reiki, all you have to do is breathe and let the energy do its thing.

Can you teach me how to become a Deeksha giver?

Not at this time, sorry. However I wouldn’t rule out at some point going to India and going through the process to become a trainer.
