Women's Community Group
I founded this group in part because of how frequently I kept hearing from female clients and students a longing to find more women with whom they could communicate about this new spiritually-centered part of their lives. There's also a growing need for the opportunity for making new friends. Friendships are changing, just as we are all changing. People are growing apart and some long-time friendships are dissolving creating a need for new friends. Come and make some new friends who speak your language while having fun.
For 2012 it's my mission for this group to help move women into leadership roles. The monthly topics will be focused to do just that.
We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 7-9pm at the shop Healing Waters & Sacred Spaces 2426 NE Broadway St in Portland.

Many of us are raised to be too nice and overly safe in our communication. We want to keep things calm and make others comfortable. When it's time to say how we truly feel, it's easy to choose silence or reach for a superficial, politically-correct response. Even if we're uncensored and outspoken, those words don't often settle well inside.
Discovering our truth is the first step. Learning how to speak it comes next. That’s the part that’s missing for most of us. As women, we can lead by practicing this skill and modeling how this can look, sound, and feel for others.
In this talk, we’ll discuss how to forge new conversations and experience genuine relationships by being 100% ourselves. We’ll identify a process to clarify our thoughts, uncover hidden agendas, and then get to the root of what we truly want to say.
